Tracking links in buttons on emails

I am having an issue on being able to see any tracking for links on a button when sending an email out from D365. Is this a common bug or does the system not have the functionality to perform the basics of tracking a link in a button. As an example we want people to be able to email directly a person from a marketing email, by having a button, that people can 'click to email' and then to be able to see who clicked and how many times the button was clicked. But I can not find this tracking anywhere?

This also then has an impact on the leads scoring as the system does not include any of the button links as a function for scoring...

    Hy Jshailes,

Hope this post finds you safe and well.

If your objective is to achieve if your customer has opened the marketing email or not, you can use the Email Engagement feature of Sales insights which is OOB.

Here is the link for the same : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/ai/sales/email-engagement'

    Hope this suits your requirement.

    Best regards,

    Ankit

    Hi Ankit,

Thank you for you reply. We can view if the initial email that was sent to the has been opened through insights, but sadly the button links do not show up on D365 sales insights, as D365 does not recognize them as 'links' so we can not see any insights for any buttons used.

    Thanks

    Jo

I just discovered the same thing. Has this been fixed or is there a work around for tracking buttons (or links as they really are) clicks?

Makes it very hard to optimise emails without this insight.
