Hi, this is determined by the Region settings.
You can modify them to change the global format; however, if you need to customize individual formats, that will require customization.
Dynamics 365 Business Central: How to quickly change the date format according to the language id in AL

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
This depends on whether the 14/07/26 format comes from the report's Format Region or is hardcoded in the shipment report layout. First, check the report request page and customer settings for the Format Region, as Business Central uses regional settings to format dates on reports. If the format is hardcoded in the report dataset/layout, then the report must be customized to use a four-digit year, for example 14/07/2026.

    Hi

On the My Settings, the security sign below still shows 26 instead of 2026 , and the shipment document date is still 26 instead of 2026...if the below changes to 2026 then the shipment document date will be correct

Hii There , dates and numeric format is based on selected region in settings, so check for that if you want to update in report you can use base functions like

    CurrReport.RegionFormat:='da-US';

    like above ,

or use formation for date .

if you found answer mark it answered.

    Thank You.
    Kamal Khakhkhar.

As others have mentioned you need to modify the region settings:

In my case I have English (United States) and I can see my settings work date is set as that region and my document date and other dates are the same format.

If this doesn't work you may need to look at your browsers date settings or even your computers date settings.

If you are referring to the report, it might be related to the settings below.

Hi, is this on the Posted Sales Shipment page, or the actual printed/PDF document? Makes a difference. If it's the page, Settings, My Settings, Region, pick one with 4 digit year, sign out and back in.
If it's the printed doc though, region alone might not fix it. Reports usually inherit the user's language and regional format, but the report can have its own fixed FormatRegion in AL, or the date formatting is just hardcoded into the layout itself, Word or RDLC, and that overrides your personal setting completely. I seen this a few times, client changes Region, nothing happens on the PDF, gets confused why.
If that's what's going on, check Report Layouts to see which layout is actually active for that report, then copy it, Word or RDLC whichever it is, and fix the date format there instead of touching Microsoft's base layout.

Glad to help - follow up if anything is unclear.
►  If this solved it, marking it verified helps others too.
