Hi,

I have issues with licence plates not generatet when creating a work. I have createt SO with items that have storage dimension group with activated WH management process, and thw work is generated usin Load planning workbench. Location directives seem to work fine, apart from the fact that Generate licence plate in Work completion form is not ticked. The mobile device menu item Sales Picking has Generate licence plate ticked, as well as the location profile enables LP tracking.

Consequently, when I try to complete work, I don't have LPs neither generated nor selected. When I try to enter the LP number (having enough quantity on hand on it) - the error I get is "The license plate quantity is not valid. To validate work for license plate controlled locations, the quantity on the work line must be equal to the quantity on the license plate you are picking from."

I am using Contoso demo environment so the Items are 91000 and 91002.

Any ideas what am I doing wrong?

Hi Goran Dobricic ,

Please check the location profile for the pick work type. If it is enabled license tracking enabled then the check for the "generate license plate" should come as unchecked.

Hi Maria,

The Target LP and LP might be the same (system populates picking LP as Target LP), in case if you are picking the complete License plate qty.

For ex LP 0001 has 10 qty and warehouse worker is picking the LP 0001 in this case Target LP also 0001 by default. You can change the Target LP if Overriding Target License plate check box is checked on the sales picking menu item.

As Prasanth mentioned it will generate Target LP automatically if Generate License plate is checked on Sales picking menu item But in this case picking LP and Target LP are different.

The reason behind this is we could not store goods(Items) with same LP at different places. So we are entering or generating Target LP while picking to put at Baydoor.

But incase we are picking complete LP qty, we could put at the Baydoor without changing or Generating new LP as Target LP.

Hi

I get the automatic licensen plate when during the pick. However when I should put the items to baydoor I have to insert a new LP and target LP. Why.

I am sure that in another company the lp were automatic populated on the put as well. I have the Generate license plate set on the mobile device.

Dear Goran Dobricic,

Please try to modify the mobile device menu item setup for sales picking.

This will generate the LP automatically in the mobile device for you.

If you want to proceed with manual process of work completion. You will be able to do it. Please have a look to the attachment. Generate license plate will generate a license plate number when you will try to complete the work order.

An update: I have created LPs manually and assigned the exact quantity that was on a sales line and the work got validated. Apparently, the main issue would be the failure to generate LPs automatically.
