Log of GP objects/modules changes

Is there a way to get the info or all the changes in FORMS.DIC, REPORTS.DIC, ICONFRMS.DIC, and ICONRPTS.DIC?

Another option is to create a package file of the original and the a package file of the modified and then open each of those files in Word. Using the Word compare tools, you can see what changes exist between the two forms.

This won't give you any information about times and dates, but it's a start. i don't think any of the Audit Trail softwares will help if they are SQL based. The forms and reports dictionaries are not tracked in SQL.

    Kind regards,

Like Rob stated, there is no way to track changes, but I always make a copy of the form so if someone makes a change (even if by accident), you have a readily available copy.   This way you could look at the copy and determine changes also.   Just a thought...

    Hi Carolyn,

Thanks for the question; there isn't anyway to see what changes have been made in these dictionaries. You would need to import the modified forms and reports into GP then review the changes in report writer or modifier.

Please let me know if you would like any additional information on this issue.

    Regards

    Rob
