Hi

Hoping someone can help me. I have been tasked with configuring and publishing Chart from Power BI into our Dynamics 365 F&O environment. Never used Power bi myself so zero knowledge on it.

I believe I have successfully configured the connection itself between Dynamics 365 and Power BI admin portal by configuring an app registration for this task. I have inputed the Application ID and secret into D365 under Power BI.com configuration section :

Once saved I clicked the Get Start button which asks you to authenticate which was sucsseful :

After authenticating I get the message this was successful.

Unfortunately this is when I get stuck. I get the following error is I try and pull through anything (Dashboard, tiles or catalog) :

I'm using the account I setup with Power BI admin portal access to when authenticating and I have made a test chart and dashboard in the Admin portal.

I have the tenant settings for Power BI Visuals option /Allow Visuals created using the power BI SDK enabled :

Can anyone help guide me finish this I feel like I'm close (or I Hope I'am)

Cheers;
Median

    D365 Error on PowerBI.com configuration when trying to retrieve anything from power bi.com
    Hi

    I finally managed to get past this issue, so I thought I would post how I managed it encase others face the same issue.

    So the problem was in the App registration part of the connection setup. I had setup the correct API Permissions what I didn't realise is you need to Grant admin consent against this permissions (despite already being an admin and setting the App registration up).

    So you add the following permissions in the below screen shot under the API Permissions which I had already done but then you have to ensure you have pressed the "Grant admin consent for *your tentent*. Once you have done this the Status against each permission has a grean ticket symbol against it. :

    Go back to d365 Power Bi Configuration. Disable the connection, save then re-enable it and save again. Sign into Power Bi then try and access your power Bi data from the Power Bi admin panel.

    Hopefully this may help someone else in the future.
