How to create dynamic report header height without blank section

Hi, anyone have any idea how to achieve dynamics height printing in SSRS report? I had a report with 2 sections (section A & B). In the first page will print both section and on the subsequent pages to hide the section A. It's does hide the section A in page 2 but the problem is SSRS does not auto-resize the height on the subsequence page and leave a blank section on the page. I know that Ax2012 SSRS is not standard and will not auto-resize the height of the report header. How can I achieve that? Any alternative suggestion to achieve this objective?

I know this is a common request and not a first questions on this topic. But this requirement will be faced by most of the developer on Ax report customization. Why Ax SSRS doesn't have or I

It's exactly the same as in standard SSRS, as far as I know. If it's in report body, it should work by default, if the section is hidden correctly.

If you're talking about page header, it doesn't resize; it has the same height on all pages, regardless that some elements are hidden.

    Hi Martin,

Is there any alternative or suggestion to overcome this problem? This can be easily done in Cristal Reprt with supress option. But how we can do it in SSRS? I believe the solution will be very helpful to others who having the similar requirement. Hope someone can provide some suggestions or ideas.

    Thank you.

But I still don't know what's the problem. Could you explain whether you're talking about report header or body?

I am refering to the Report Header. I think same to Report Footer as well having the same problem. It's will not suppress the blank rows or sections. But report body is working fine.

This is a copy of my answer to a similar question in another forum:

It's by design, as far as I know ("On pages where the header or footer is hidden, the height of the header or footer is still reserved within the usable page area, even though the header or footer is not rendered." - Rendering Behaviors (Report Builder and SSRS)).

You might move the rectangle to body and put it into a static group of a tablix, configured to be repeated on each page. Or find some other workaround.

    Hi Martin,

Thanks for your reply. As from your reply I got no choice except to try on the suggestion you given. Thank you so much for your time and answer.

Hi Richard any resolution on this issue.

I guess, if you could find a way to get the total pages and current page number in "Report body" then you should be able to fix this problem.
