Renaming a company in the Classic Client

I thought this was simple but none of the postings I've seen appear to answer this.

I'm running NAV 2015 with the classic client and a SQL backend database. At the request of the Controller, all I want to do is rename some companies so that they appear better ordered in the list of companies. I cannot for the life of me see how to do this. I can rename any company GROUP, but that doesn't affect the company name itself obviously, and if I attempt to rename the company itself in the group list then I get an error saying that the company doesn't exist.

I'm sure this is something simply I'm overlooking but I can't seem to find where this function would be.

Thank you! That seems to be what I needed; I guess I was hoping for something a little more explicit, such as a screen called "Rename Company".

    Thanks again for your response.

Hi, I tested NAV2015, just modify the name directly on the Companies page. It doesn't look like a problem.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.
