Hi Guys,

I am trying to create a simple report using the oob report wizard in CRM online.

I am getting the the below error. Previously I was able to create the reports in the same way.

if you have any custom code in your SSRS report, it might not work with Dynamics 365 Online due to sandbox restriction.

Hi Kumar. It is not an SSRS report. it is just a basic report created within the CRM.

    Hi,

You can find the statement saying that

"you cannot deploy custom SQL-based reports to Microsoft Dynamics 365 (online)."

    in the following documentation:

OK, so to be clear, you went to Settings>Customization>Customize the system and opened the legacy customizer, then went to 'Reports' in the nav pane and selected to create a new report like this:

Then you created the report with the entities, filters, groupings, etc. that you wanted and saved and closed. If that's correct, I'm not clear on what you mean by "uploading".  You don't "upload" those legacy reports.  You create them through the web UI and save them.  I quickly went through and created one for the Account entity.  You can see it here:

Hi Lorne.. Exactly this is how I tried creating the report and faced the issue.. any solution?

Well, let's start with some basics:

    • Have you checked permissions and roles? Pretty sure this requires system customizer.
    • Is there possibly a field security role involved?
    • User (your account I assume?) has access to the entities, records, BU, and so on?
    • Do the audit records in M365 Compliance Center show anything?
    • Do you have any ISV solutions?
    • What about custom plugins?
    • Maybe something in the Horrifed UI (Ooops, Unified UI)?
