Hide dropdown on GP windows: File "Add to Shortcuts"

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Is there a method to (a) disable that option, or (b) move it down in the list, (c) put an [Are you sure?] to confirm the Add?

Admittedly this is a user training issue, but I have users who, when saving a transaction, aim for the [Save] button but hit the [File] menu option and lift up on [Add to Shortcuts]  (one user has 86 of them).

Thanks,

Thanks For the confirmation.  That is course I took. I looked a a Profiler Trace of a "Delete" to see if I wanted to perform the task.  While I see how GP renumbers the remaining rows, through writing to a temp table and then delete all shortcuts for the user and then insert basic and remaining user shortcuts, it isn't worth the effort except as an excersize, and I don't need that form of excersize.

Not that I am aware of other than having offending users manually delete all added shortcuts.  A few passes through that and they will think twice.
