Add to workspace button not visible on a form

Hi,
 
I have a custom form with design pattern originally set to Simple List, on this form the option to 'Add to workspace' is missing.
 
Is there any specific setting that we need to enable to make that visible?
 
I have tried to set the form design pattern to List page just to check if that works, it didn't.
 
In one of the posts from the past here, it is mentioned that the forms with filters cannot be added to the workspace, but that is not true for Sales order list page which has a filter.

    Yes, the form has a physical table linked as the main datasource and the form has a grid too.

    Hi Abhinay,
     
    The post is not saying that filters are not possible, but if you filter data as a user, you first need to save the view before the Add to workspace action will be enabled.
     
    You mentioned that the option is completely missing. Can you tell more about your custom form? I do assume there is a physical table linked as main datasource and the form has a grid? What might be different on your form compared to other forms?
