Migrating Post entity from On-Prem to Online

Posted on by 60

Hi,

I am using SSIS with KingswaySoft plug-in to migrate data from on-prem to online version of Dynamics CRM. While migrating the Post entity, I am not able to preserve the data in the CreatedOn field of the Post entity. The createdOn and ModifiedOn fields are getting latest timestamp instead of the original timestamp from the source data. In the migration mapping, I don't see the OverriddenCreatedOn field for Posts.

Is there any way to preserve the source value for CreatedOn field in the Post entity? Appreciate any help in this regard; thanks in advance!

Regards,

Sujay

I have checked meta data for this online post entity and  overridencreatedon field is not present so basically we can not over ride created on date for this..

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/web-api/post?view=dynamics-ce-odata-9

I suggest raise support case with Microsoft online support team regarding this and they might able to give you some work around for this..
