Terminate Employee Error AX 2012

Hi,

I am attempting to terminate an employee with a future date and getting the following error

Cannot create a record in Employment detail (HcmEmploymentDetail). Invalid value specified for 'Expiration'. It cannot be greater than or equal to the 'Expiration' of the first record.

Scenario - Employer has sent a request for Joe Bloggs to leave on 07/08/2015 for retirement- we go into AX and enter the end date and last day worked date to this date in the future and getting the following error.

Not sure what I am doing wrong here.

    It sounds like you may have another Employment record that already has an expiration date.  Take a look at the Employment History form, which will show you all the date effective versions that apply to this worker's employment setup.  Make sure you change the setting/filter to show you all records.

    Can u pl let me know about my question .... Employee A has resigned from the company and parallel B has joined the company simultaneously , How to assigned A position to B parallel y  ??

    Can you explain what you mean by parallel?  I'm not completely understanding the question.
