Merge window doesn't load. Stays blank.

Some of my client's users are having trouble when merging any two records in CRM 365 (Accounts, Contacts etc.).

They choose their two records they want to merge as usual and clink the merge button. When the merge window opens however it doesn't load and stays blank white. Left for several minutes, no errors.

If the user logs into my PC with their credentials it works fine so it appears to be a local issue rather than user setup. One uses Surface Pro 5 with
Windows 10 Pro (10.0.17134), the other Surface Pro 6 Windows 10 Pro (10.0.17763).

Anyone else seen anything similar?

It sounds like a cache problem. From time to time users need to clear their browser cache when working with Dynamics 365 to solve issues like this.

The other thing to take a look at as a possible issue is the type of browser being used.  There have been a number of recent issues where the most recent Chrome build isn't loading views from older system entities while still loading everything else.  Just one more component to put into the ways to isolate in a modern environment.

The Chrome issue had occurred to me as well so I have asked the user to try clearing their cache or use in Incognito mode to see if they still get the problem.

I'm personally using Chrome Beta 76 which has resolved all the other issues so maybe I will get the user to try with that version as well.

Sounds indeed like the chrome related caching issues.

Try a different browser or the f12 option with 'disable cache' option enabled in chrome.
