Management Reporter 2012 keeps stopping

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Recently installed Management Reporter 2012.  However, it will work for a day or two, and then it stops working

"A connection to the server could not be established.  Check the server address and try again or contact your system administrator"

Then i will either Restart the Management Reporter Services and/or "Repair" the Program, and then it will work again for a couple of days.

the Services are running under the following Domain Admin Account: (sqlservice@AHC.local)

clients are running Report Designer via a Terminal server using (http://ahcsql4:4713)

Re: Management Reporter 2012 keeps stopping

This is what I am seeing in the Event Log of the SQL Server...

System.ServiceModel.Security.SecurityNegotiationException: SOAP security negotiation with 'ahcsql4:4713/SecurityService.svc' for target 'ahcsql4:4713/SecurityService.svc' failed. See inner exception for more details. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: Security Support Provider Interface (SSPI) authentication failed. The server may not be running in an account with identity 'AHC\sqlservice'. If the server is running in a service account (Network Service for example), specify the account's ServicePrincipalName as the identity in the EndpointAddress for the server. If the server is running in a user account, specify the account's UserPrincipalName as the identity in the EndpointAddress for the server.
