Hello, is there a way to determine who created a user account within D365 FO? The dormant user security account tells me when it was created but also hoping there is a report out there that would show who created it. Thanks for your time.
Not sure if there are any std report with this information. Ideally this should have done by one admin user only.
You can simply check the same thing in system administration users where you can see the created by and the created date and time. If required you can also create a report for the same.
True, but for auditing purposes being able to export this from the system is needed to show the date and times things were done.
I discovered the information under system administration > inquiries > database > database log and filtering on dates and exporting and then once in excel filtering on Table name "User Information".
I looked at the sys admin users but do not have a column for create date or created by. It doesn't look like its in the default to be added, but I am going to play around with this some more. Thank you.
Hi TAgnew,
Out of the box, the created by and date/time fields are not enabled for the User information table. It would be possible to extend the table with a customization to enable these fields or setup database logging.
