In the Unified Client Interface, do internal on-demand workflows use up monthly Flow plan quota?

I've created some (internal) on-demand workflows (not Flows). However, to use these workflows in D365, it sounds like I have to activate our Flow license under our settings. Does this mean that running these workflows (again, not the same thing as Flows) will count toward our monthly workflow quota? I'm assuming that internal workflows do not count, but Flow Workflows do count. I want to double check before activating our Flow license setting.

Thank you,

Yes my colleague is looking into Smart Buttons. We're still trying to set it up correctly as it's not functioning like we want. Between enabling flow and smart buttons, I'm sure we'll figure something out.

Thanks everyone for your answers... very helpful!

    Hi

Like suggested by others, if you run CRM Workflow, it will never be counted towards your Flow quota.

Flow is not executed within CRM, it is executed out side of CRM,  on Azure. You do not have to worry about Flow quote being used at all when you run a CRM native workflow

I understand that you Enabled Flow so that you can get the option to run the native workflow but one other thing you could consider is to bring back the old Run Workflow button, have you looked into using Smart buttons

as Zohaib Uddin Khan wrote, internal Workflows do not count.

    Zohaib,

Thanks for the reply. Let me clarify and restate my question:

Currently, in the Unified Client Interface, I cannot run workflows because the Flow button is not there. In order to get the Flow button to appear in the menu bar for a record in UCI, I have to set "Enable Microsoft Flow" to "Yes". Now, when I run "D365 native/internally-created" workflows like the one in the first image I included above, will this count toward my Flow count? Or does Flow count only include Microsoft Flows? I hope this made more sense.

    Dear Daniel,

The way you're creating the workflows will definitely not count towards Flow count. You can verify this by,

Go to Settings - Administration - System Settings - Customization - Enable Microsoft Flow = NO.

Since, Microsoft Flow is disabled, but still your on-demand workflow will execute correctly without any issues.

    Cheers,
