Shading in management reporter

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I've got an issue formatting title rows in management reporter and I'm hoping someone can help me.

Here's what's going on: the balance sheet I'm working on is pretty standard. I've got an assets section and a liabilities & equities section. I'd like to have the titles of each of those sections bolded, shaded in grey and boxed. I've got all of that formatting ( I think ) taken care of on the row definition, but when I run the report the entire row is shaded grey. I'd like just the title cells to have that formatting. Here are a couple of screenshots...

I'd expect just what's in column A to have this formatting:

But it's formatting the entire row:

Am I missing anything? I just updated to the most recent version of MR a few weeks ago.

I think you're right. I've just converted all of a customers' FRx reports to Management Reporter, and she pointed out that in FRx it was possible to format just one cell instead of an entire row. I played around with the row definition and report for a while yesterday afternoon with no luck.

Hi Michael, I am not sure this is possible. I took a look at see if there was a "suppress formatting" option which would be nice but it's not there that I can see.
