Implementing the date value in sales order form

I have a date typed field named Expiry Date available in the Item setup ( Customized ). I want to use this date when that particular item is used in the Sales order. I have the same field in Sales order as well but the date value is not updated. Please provide your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

    Hi, Can you share code written for it. If code is not written then add in ModifiedField method of SalesLine table on ItemId field in extension class.

    Hi,
    Can you share the code? You can do it by adding code to the modified field of Item Id to set the date to be the same as the date of Item setup. If you can create the sales order from other places rather than the Salestable form, you should add the same code in the code that sets the sales line.
