We have a job which has 19000 job planning lines.
We are trying to change the status of this to Closed, but after waiting hours, it still will not close
Does anyone have any ideas as to how we might be able to get round this issue? We do not really want to go down the route of deleting job planning lines if we can avoid it.

Based on the WIP method you have on the Job, it needs to calculate and create WIP entries to completely close it properly. The only force way is to update the status to closed by using a process report.
