Hi Experts,

Is this expected behavior?

Behavior with legacy UI

1. Create an appointment

2. Appointment record created (1 record created)

3. Set Recurrence (for ex: set appointment to occur 2 times)

4. Previous appointment is deleted and recurring appointment instances created (for ex: there are 2 appointment record in the system)

Behavior with model driven app

1. Create an appointment

2. Appointment record created (1 record created)

3. Set Recurrence (for ex: set appointment to occur 2 times)

4. Previous appointment is RETAINED and recurring appointment instances created (for ex: there are 3 appointment record in the system)

    Hi Devi,

Yes, for now, this is an expected behavior.

Microsoft will completely abandon the web client (legacy UI) in the future D365 version, so please take the behavior in UCI (model driven app) as the standard.

After setting an already created appointment as a recurring appointment, you need to delete the original single appointment.

Or, when creating a new appointment, don't click ‘Save’, just click ‘Recurrence’ to set up a recurring appointment. This way the original single appointment will not be created.
