Responsibilities for IT Manager
- Ability to maintain operation of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 – 18.5 (upgrades, training, troubleshooting)
- Dynamics GP Customization (Modifier, VBA, .NET Tools for Dynamics GP)
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to business operations
- Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services
- Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
- Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
- Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs
- Monitor/Maintain company hybrid active directory, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Group Policy, 365 Admin
- IIS Development and Administration (Public and Private websites HTML, CSS)
- Hyper V / Azure VM configuration and administration
- Monitor and maintain company’s firewall, Switches, WAPs and VPNs
- Monitor company backups and implement Disaster Recovery procedures.
- EDI troubleshooting and Support (850, 810, 846, 856, 997)
- Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software
- HVAC, Fire, access, security contract scheduling, monitoring and troubleshooting
- Negotiate Vendor, MSA / MSP contracts and purchase computer related equipment
- Overseeing the security of IT systems and data, including implementing preventive measures against security breaches.
- Providing support to other departments, especially those heavily reliant on technology such as design and production.
- Ensuring IT practices comply with regulatory standards applicable to the automotive and manufacturing industries.
- Designing and implementing custom APIs to facilitate effective integration and communication between different systems and software within the company.
- Developing scripts to automate routine tasks, enhance system functionalities, and streamline workflows.
- Ensuring seamless integration of new software tools with existing systems, using custom APIs and scripts where necessary.
- Conducting thorough testing of new APIs and scripts to ensure robustness and reliability. Documenting the API endpoints and scripts for internal use and future maintenance.
- Continuously improving existing systems and processes through custom-developed software solutions, addressing the evolving needs of the business.
- Willingness and ability to stay updated with the latest developments in API development, programming languages, and IT management practices.
- Need to audit current system
- Able to work outside of regular business hours if assigned/ required
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for IT Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience working in IT operations with 2+ years of IT supervisory position
- Experience leading and managing large IT projects and rolling out IT infrastructures across various technologies
- Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems
- Strong critical thinking, ability to learn quickly, and work independently Excellent project management skills and strong ability to prioritize
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
- Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in securing network systems and safeguarding data integrity against threats
- Ability to manage large datasets and use analytical tools to improve production efficiency and decision-making processes.
- Demonstrable experience with projects that involve building custom APIs and scripting solutions in a business context.
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to web and API development such as Python, JavaScript (Node.js), Ruby, PHP, or .NET, as well as knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Experience in integrating internal systems with external services through APIs, including understanding of authentication mechanisms like OAuth, JWT, etc.
