Hi everyone - hopefully you can help us out!
We've been on NAV 18 for a good 2+ years now, but recently we have started to experience severe problems printing dispatch labels for our ecommerce shipments out of NAV.
The issue is that we have multiple people on dispatch and when they press 'submit' in order to print their shipping label, the label doesn't always print on their local printer. It's a bit like a crazy game show - guess where your shipping label is going to print...! This doesn't happen all the time, maybe 1 out 3 labels will go to someone else's printer. So they have to double check every dispatch label just to make sure that the one that has been printed is actually for the package that they have, otherwise a customer is going to receive a random package.
We use FOXIT and this is installed on each PC.
FIRST QUESTION: No one at our support partners has been able to explain to me why we use FOXIT, we have used it ever since the day we went live on NAV13. Is this application commonly used in NAV? Is there another reader type application we should consider using or at least trying? Are there known issues with FOXIT and NAV (especially recently)?
WHAT WE HAVE DONE SO FAR: We have ensured that all the printers attached locally have a unique ID/number which is the PC's one and only default PC and that any random old drivers or duplicate printers have been deleted of the PC's. We have made sure that 'Microsoft does not select which printer to use'
Everyone logs into NAV with a unique log in.
Our developers tell me that when we press submit on a dispatch label - NAV essentially hands the printing off and therefore isn't responsible for which printer the label goes to.
Just to reiterate - this has only recently started happening. My suspicions are that FOXIT is behind this somehow...
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice? Or ever experienced similar?
We would be eternally grateful for any help!!
