Getting rid of the unable-to-find-recipents-warning

Hi,

Anybody know how to remove these two warnings that show up when receiving an email to a queue from an unknown recipient?

This is a CRM for which this is very common so they are quite fed up with all of these warnings and would just like to have them removed.

Do I need to mention that I am only looking to for supported ways?

"The sender, or one or more recipients, could not be resolved to a record in Microsoft Dynamics CRM."

"The sender's e-mail address could not be resolved to a record in the system."

    Hi Gustaf,

Were you able to find the solution? I am also getting same issue. Enabled all settings, still email is not getting resolved & email is in Pending send status.

My CRM implementation is migrated from 4.0 to 2011. Is this same for you too?

Did you refer this site ?

There is an option to create Contacts automatically when you have an unknown sender. However, I believe this is a setting at the user level.

File --> Options --> Email --> Create Contacts option.

    M. Adeel,

We have enabled sending of email to external users, so there is no problem sending emails, however, what I am looking for is removing the warning in itself. I am well aware of the reason for it. It is also not an option to create objects for all of these "unknowns" in CRM, just to remove the warnings.

CRM is trying to find this email in the database. It is not able to find the email and hence it cannot resolve that email, for example, that email is not part of any contact record. So it is giving you this error and in red.

Because When you provide an email id in the sender list, it tries to evaluate the email id against one of the CRM record types account/contact/lead.

There is a setting (System Settings --> Email Tab) in CRM where you provide, if you would like CRM to allow emails to be sent to email addresses not belonging to any of the CRM records.

if you set it to false, it will not let you send the mail.

To overcome this open the users in administration and select the users whom you need to active for Emails and set the Email as Incoming Emails so that you can able to get the users in search fields.

No, I have switched on all of these. If you mean the two at the top in email settings in global settings. No difference as far as I can see anyway.

Would the settings allowing to email unresolved records in CRM help with these warnings?
