Security for Accounts Payable

Have a user who lost access to the listing of items under the Purchasing and cards.   This apparently happened this morning.

I logged in as sa and went to User Security.

Made sure she had access to AP as a AP clerk, among other Things.

She logs back in and no listing of the Vendor cards, and in Inquiry Vendor Transactions, original amount says $0.

There is no problem when logging in as other users. Only one user Id has the problem. Is the user Id corrupt or is there a few other things to try?

Thank You,

I really doubt it is a corruption issue.

Check if the user has been assigned these security roles:

    PURCHASING AGENT*

    PURCHASING MANAGER*

Or copy the security access from a user that has access to those windows to this user.

Mark, I have to agree that the potential of corruption of one record is slim.

However, it takes not much time to create a new user.

Be sure to (1) make a back of the database - just because - (2) delete the bad user ID (3) create the new user ID, make it a bit different than first (4) use the copy feature to copy the setup and security for an existing good user.

That should take all of 5 min (not including the backup, which is optional as you are only working in security)

    Best of luck.

Furthermore, you can search for the requires security roles and tasks online by simply filling in the window name and the required windows will be provided in a second

Check it out on Search for Roles and Tasks for a GP Window or Report

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

Thank You to all for your responses.

Tried  to copy and add more security and there was no response.

Created a NEW user and all is well.

    Thank You,

    MSL
