Forecaster Maintenance Procedure

I'm new to GP, to Forecaster, and to the company for whom I now work. My first introduction to Forecaster was a simple re-indexing problem. Office talk indicated that the Forecaster Maintenance Procedure could literally take days to complete if the process wasn't executed within a reasonable amount of time.

Much of my experience has been as a SQL DBA. After running the process for only the second time in the company's history with Forecaster I've decided to automate the process via SSIS.

Before I spend the time ... Has anyone else here automated their processes?
