Hello all,

Is it possible to use javascript on system views?

For instance, I want some js code to run when user clicked a case in resolved cases view.

Any ideas?

Thanks & Regards,

Burak.

    Hi Burak,

Refer the following link. It explains deeply.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello again,

@Guido, thanks for the warning but I just wanted to know how much I can do with custom development.

@Rajkumar, are you sure you gave the correct link? Because It describes customizing case resolve button functionality. But I am interested on system views.

    Thanks though.

    Hi Burak,

It'd be an unsupported change, and could break when you upgraded e.g. to 2015.

Here's something Tanguy has done (not quite what you're looking to do but something):

    mscrmtools.blogspot.in/.../how-to-colorize-grid-rows.html

Thinking about it a little differently you could possibly do an on-demand workflow that you could manually select one or more records and then run the workflow across.  If what you're wanting to do can be done by a workflow it could be a very simple and supported solution.  You could make it a real-time workflow so the change happened immediately.

If you are ever trying to change records on a subgrid this link might be of use to you:

    Hi Burak,

I think your best option is to create a button (with ribbon workbench) in the case view to call the popup. With some logic behind it you can get it working.

Another option is to call out the thing that you want on load of the resolved case.

    Hello,

Have one ribbon button and get parameter (ribbon button parameter msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg309332.aspx) this will get you current record id and you have your html page where you can query crm entity based on it's ID then show it there, You can use XrmUtility to open html web resource.

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../jj602956.aspx

    Here is reference: woodsworkblog.wordpress.com/.../crm-2013-adding-an-on-change-event-to-a-sub-grid

    Thanks
