Batch Won't Post

I created a batch but once I hit post, it generated an empty/voided printout.  I checked the batch and it had an error message, "Transaction Error - Edit required.  I went ahead and cleared the error through Batch Recovery and posted the batch again.  It gave me the same problem.  Please help!

It printed a report but it had nothing on it, no vendor info or amount and a "voided transaction" was written on the printout.  We figured out the problem.  We are using the test environment for training purposes and we needed to open a new fiscal period.  Thanks guys for all the info.

Hi - What do you mean by 'It prints an empty or voided transaction'?

Does it print a report to screen? If so, is the above text on the report?

Or does it generate an error message?

You might have this solved by deleting and re-entering as Richard suggested - so this may be a mute exercise. Just interested :)

I would delete the transaction and the batch and re-enter the transaction. Make sure valid dates are on the transaction.

It is not a voided transaction.  I have to clear the error, "Transaction Error - Edit required" through Batch Recovery so I can check and edit the batch.  Everything looks ok and I do not see any problem with my entry. But once I hit post, it prints an empty or voided transaction.  I create a new batch but I encounter the same problem.

Was this transaction a voided transaction? Batch Recovery does not void transactions. I don't suppose you have a backup you can review?

Thanks Richards.  Yes after Batch Recovery, I checked everything and all look good. But once I hit post, it automatically voided the transaction.

After running batch recovery print the edit list and correct whatever is the issue. Batch Recovery does not correct errors. It brings batches back so you can print the edit list and discover what is the issue.
