Does Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 compatible with Visual Studio 2012??

Hello,

I read System Requirements for the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 Windows Client, it's said,

Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SP1 Professional, Premium, or Ultimate and Microsoft Report Viewer 2010 SP1 are required for designing reports in the development environment.

 

We are planning to move to VS 2012, My question is does Dynamics Nav is support VS 2012?

    Hello Kartik,

    I can't find any documentation on VS2012 with NAV2013 from development.  It's likely this hasn't been tested yet.

    I'd say you really shouldn't have any problems with VS2012 as it should be backward compatible with any processes you were using in older versions of VS.  Of course, I'd highly recommend testing the upgrade before being fully committed.

    Hi,

    VS2012 doesn't work with RDLC reports in NAV2013. Claus Lundstrom has a comprehensive blog about this: mibuso.com/.../rdl-vs-rdlc-versions-and-dynamics-nav
