we have a specific item that are closed within works like everything else, but there is not generated any picking list for this item, hence it does not change status from "Picked" to "Deducted". I got the error log of Item Number XXXXX has not been completely released.Thank you!

I created a picking list for this item manually.
However, the system is supposed to make a picking list for the item automatically when the work for the item is closed. May i kindly know what are the possible reason? Thank you

The problem you are having is with reported as finished. You need to follow the solution mentioned in this link.
dynamicsuser.net/.../report-as-finished-error
Create new picking list. select your components, don't put in any quantity. mark end as picking list and then try to process report as finished.

Can you tell which exact version of AX 2012 you are using? Are you using the new warehouse management solution available in AX 2012 R3 or the original advances warehouse aka WMS II?
If there is no picking list, how can this item be put on status Picked? Are you able to reproduce this in a non-production environment?
