    Hi Dynamics-Consultant,

Do you open the Management Reporter 2012 Process Service in windows services?

Do you try to use system administrator role to judge whether that is permission problem?

Hi, has the report been generated or did the generation fail with an error message? Can any other user open the report? Best regards, Ludwig

I am opening it from GL > Reports then generating one of the reports. If I am set to security administrator it runs fine.

Nothing has been generated, it opens up where the report should be displayed but shows that error message instead, and no cannot generate any other report from Management Reporter

Hi, is it an option that a user that has the security admin role generates the report and other users just open it e.g. from a share point where the report is saved?

I'm afraid not, we need the that have generator role to be able to generate the report.

    Hi,

To get this fixed on the short term, consider assigning the security admin role to the user who has that problem. This can only be a quick and temporary fix in case you need a solution asap.

For the longer term, please check how the user role in detail especially if adjustments have been made and modify this role, probably with the help of a developer who can take a deeper look at the security objects that the user's current role misses.

    Best regards

    Ludwig

Try removing and re-adding the user.

One more thing, is the user is trying from same machine or different one?
