Update Sales Order reservation Quantity based on Report as Finished from Production Order

Hi,

We are a hay procession business using D365FO, and follows a Make to Order process, we use CW item for those finished goods, hay are handled in bales but purchased/sold in tons.

Eg I created Sales Order with 1 CW QTY and system auto generate a Qty say 0.5 tons. Then I generate the Production Order based on sales order line, and report as finished for 1 CW Unit but 0.6 tons. And I want to pick this 1 CW and 0.6 ton in the Sales Order line, then the system do NOT allow to do that with error message saying  Quantity 0.1 cannot be picked because inventory transaction with status On order, Reserved or Reserved physical are insufficient.

I know the what around of this by deleting the output order, but I'm seeking a more automated way that when RAF as 0.6 ton, I was hope sales order line picking list can be updated easily.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Aaron,

I'm not aware of any other workaround, and there may be a fix for this, see the following LCS link:
