hi

I have a user, who is setup with sales manager role, but when they create a new customer they don't get prompted with the customer template form

any ideas why?

does anyone have a good reference guide on checking what role/privilege everything is attached to?

    The simplest explanation is that he ticked Do not ask again in the template selection dialog. It can be get back by Record info > Show template selection.

    Let me simply quote documentation (Maintain record templates [AX 2012]): To display the template selection dialog box again, right-click any record, click Record info, and then click Show template selection.

    you won't get under list page. please go to detail page of customer and use the template.

    I need the Customer template form to auto prompt on selection of new customer, for a person with sales manager role

    See, SysRecordTemplateSelect is the UI for template. you can use for your security setup.

    got around this by assigning user full admin, then I could select record info, show templates. not very user friendly, but a solution for me none the less
