Hello, I'm trying to configure the Windows authentication in a three computer environment.
The BC version is 15.3
I followed step by step the official Microsoft guide about it, but whent it comes to configure the delegation for the web server, I cannot comply the point #6 in the "to delegate access to Microsoft Dynamics NAV Server" chapter here:
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics-nav/how-to--configure-delegation-for-microsoft-dynamics-nav-web-client?fbclid=IwAR2RlXaOubM-mo3qPuAsMkT7FlXS6KnBFs3lr6WRufFkOYj3uDMbJHRJ-NM
because there is no "DynamicsNAV" service type in the specified mask.
any ideas to help?
My regards
Francesco
What account is running the BC service? Is it a domain user or a Local admin or Network service?
Hello,
thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately even in the user object tab there is no such service type.
(the name of the server is different from the previous image because it was taken from another installation with the same problem)
However, the documentation specifies that it must be found in the computer object.
I'm lost.
Cheers
Francesco
Hello,
This is likely because you are running Business Central service with a domain user (which is recommended by the way), so click on Users or Computers and then search for the domain user that is running the service and you should see DynamicsNAV service type in the list.
Good luck.
