Make sure that the installation file you are using is not corrupted.

    H Kenni,

From where did you tried to setup the GP client ?

Network share ? local folder ?  make sure you start the setup in 'Admin' elevated privilege mode, otherwise Windows is going to give you troubles.

I've been using the GP 2013R2 client for over a year on Win10 now and currently have release 12.00.2230

I am installing from a local drive and installed as Admin but still giving me this error. I also discover its on all the systems either windows 10 or windows 8.1.

    Please i still need help.

    Thank you

Have to agree with Beat. It sounds like the installation package is incomplete. Maybe your AV software or someting interrupted it?

Try downloading it again. Continue to install with elevated credentials.

    Kemi,

When does that error message pop-up ? after the per-requisites have been installed or right from the beginning ? Pre-Reqs are all the Dexterity common libs & .Net libs.. The GP Client setup checks the system for it and you need to have .Net 3.5 installed.. Your Win10 might not have it out of the box, so you may check your system options in the Control panel.
