Generate Multiple Licenses plate and label printing against single work.

Posted on by 4
Hi Experts

Today, I encountered one issue related to the volumetric functionality that needs your attention.

We have a product with dimensions of 2 X 2 X 4, totaling 16 cubic units. Our storage location's dimension is 10 X 10 X 10, totaling 1000 cubic units. Based on this configuration, we can store 62 pieces of the product in one location, as that sum of dimensions equals 992 cubic units.

Recently, we received a shipment of 140 units. Consequently, the system has suggested three storage locations to store the units in the following manner: 62+62+16 pieces respectively.

However, during the purchase order receiving process, the system creates a work order and suggests three locations with a single targeted license plate. The issue arises when we attempt to “PUT” the material in the location, as the system requires another license plate. We cannot use a single target license plate for all three storage locations.

My question is: Is it possible to generate three targeted license plates along with the label printing? If it is not possible, we will need to print the labels manually and search for an existing empty license plate, which could potentially slow down our operations.

I look forward to hearing your insights on this matter. Your assistance in resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello lvdtang
    Thanks for your input.

The system generated two separate works with the same licenses plate even though I used the same configuration which you advised.

    Hi User,

I think that should be possible by generating workorders per location.

    1. Select the work template for purchase orders and click on 'Edit query'

    2. Click on sorting and add the location. Click on OK

    3.  Click on work header breaks

    4. Tick the checkbox 'Group by this field'. Click on save and close the form

    Try it again....

    Regards,
