How to show the product category lookup hierarchy in the power bi report by combining D365 FO tables?
Hi Pravasti,
Can you explain more as your question is not clear enough for me to exactly understand what you want to achieve and where you get stuck.
Hi Andre,
We are creating a power bi report using SQL views, requirement is to show the product category hierarchy lookup as a slicer.
this issue should addressed to Power BI issue not D365?
Hi Pravasti
I would suggest the following steps in order to achieve the requirement.
Find the EcoResProductCategoryHierarchyEntity in Visual studio and make a list of tables that are part of the data entity.
Export those tables to your PowerBI database.
Then find the EcoResProductCategoryHierarchyEntity in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operation database in the View section.
Copy the view and create it in your Power BI database, and make sure that you should have all the tables in your BI database before creating a view.
By following the above steps, You can achieve your requirement.
