Management Reporter Column Definition Fiscal year/Period

I am having a hard time pulling the closed year FY15 YTD Ending Balances.  I am able to populate a comparative year to year in a closed FY, based on the "Base.." options.  However, I have tried many combinations to pull out the same recurring balance for June 2015, into another column.

Fiscal Year, Period, Periods covered - are the fields I am having difficulties with.


I have to be missing an obvious detail!

    Nicole,

    It would be easier to give you suggestions if we could see samples of your Column Def and Row Def. I'm having trouble picturing what you're trying to accomplish.

    For documenting Row and Column Defs, I made an Excel workbook template that lets me paste directly from the Defs. E.g., my Column Def workbook template looks like this

    Anyway, I've got one for Row and Tree Defs, too. Nice and easy to document in Excel.

    Does the November 2014 column work all right?

    I see that the Period for the "June 2015" column says 1:12 and you've specified the Fiscal Year as 2015. As far as I understand Management Reporter, 1:12 means sum up all of the Period activity for all 12 fiscal months of the fiscal year.

    What are you expecting to see in the "June 2015" column?

    November does work (aside from an elimination I am trying to isolate), but the data that I think should pull, is working.  

    Our goal for June column, is to see the Ending Balances for the previous Fiscal Year. in this case would be FY15.

    So the end of your fiscal year is in June, correct?

    Then I'd change the column to look like this one of these:

    I think one of these should do it.

    Thank you so much!!  Both columns worked:)  I had tried so many different combinations, however I had been avoiding the "Base" options. I was under the impression that would calculate using the date of Generate period.  Looks like the Period 12 must over-ride.
