Error: "The server is unavailable. Check your configuration and network connection and try again

Hi all,

One of the users who uses RDC to connect to AX is getting this error everyday. Rebooting the machine does fix it but this is an temp solution. No other users are affected including me.  A bit confused as to what needs to be done here. Version Dynamics AX2012. Windows 7 Enterprise version 64 bit client machine.

    whats the error message?

    Check event viewer on Terminal server for log: "Microsoft-Windows-TerminalServices-RemoteConnectionManager"

    Is the user connecting to the domain via a VPN service?

    Does the user shut down the PC properly after end of work, or do they just set it to hybernate/sleep?

    Get them to disconnect from VPN and shut down the computer properly, so the VPN connection would not go dead due to hybernation.

    Hi Vilmos,

    User is directly on the company network and based in our office. No VPN being used

    User does shuts down the PC after work.

    User uses RDC on the machine to connect to AX

    Well, if RDC complains on your network, it can be a number of issues.

    DNS issue, routing issue, IP conflict on your network, driver problems to name a few. Check those.
