Hi Experts

Is there a limitation on the record like on the invoice? i observed the invoice number INV-01026-C3G2Y7 and the next count will be 01027 and what if the count reach 99999. i can still add new record or it will stop on the 99999 records?

Hi,

No there is no limitation , although if the number can be generate same ,if its reach to 99999 but suffix will be difference , so there is no chances for duplicate in this case . You can also change suffix length by going to settings --> Administrator --> Auto numbers --> under invoice tab.

Hi,

I've tested in my environment. There is no limit on records.

The number will keep on increasing.

Hi KaeL,

The only limit on the number of allowed invoice records is the maximum storage space for your instance, but you can always add additional storage space.

You can change the auto-numbering prefixes for invoice records by following this article.
