Microsoft has uploaded a NAV 2013 R2 image in Azure for MSDN subscribers, and I would like to learn how to develop NAV applications to this image. To get training and pass the competency levels to be a NAV developer one would need to get access to Partner Source. However, you need to be a partner with NAV competencies to get login to Partner Source?

So how do aspiring NAV developers get access to the NAV documentation if not already employed by a silver level partner?

    To get the partner source loggin you need to be a partner or should work under a partner company.  However there are many online documents available in internet which will provide information on programming. Plus MSDN is a good resource to start with.

    Addition to that if you search in internet there are many other sites which have same exact documents hosted in partner source.

    Problem is with the license. To do a modification in NAV you need to have a developer license and you need to pay to Microsoft to get that.

    With the cronus license you can do very limited modifications.
