Upload document in account or opportunity's with drag and drop

Hi All,

After several Google searches and failing to find the answer, I am turning to this community for some help.

I am using Dynamics 365 Sales, Service, and Field Service, and I have enabled the SharePoint integration to upload documents, for example, to an account or opportunity. This works fine, except that I cannot drag and drop files from my email (related to an account, for example).

I have seen some plugins (appstore and pcf), but I find it hard to believe that in 2024 something as simple as uploading files with drag and drop is not possible in Dynamics 365/SharePoint. When you open the SharePoint page, you can of course upload the file, but that requires three extra clicks.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

    Yes, OOB does not support drag and drop files.
     When the first dialog box appears (before the actual Windows file picker), you can drag and drop files onto the " Choose Files..." button.
     
    You need to go through some customization like PCF control.
     
    Some users have come up with similar ideas and you can vote for these ideas.
