Are there any upgrades to this software that are free to use?

Are you talking about upgrades or plug-ins? Upgrades come from Microsoft and require the annual Microsoft Maintenance fee in order to receive them.
Plug-ins come from 3rd party vendors such as Retail Realms, New West Tech, DRS, or my company RITE. Are there any free? Possibly, but that does not mean the Plug-ins that will be helpful to you would be free. Learning to customize RMS requires a pretty hefty learning curve, especially to do this will. Microsoft does not make the knowledge handy, so becoming proficient in creating customizations ends up taking a lot of time in training and R & D. This alone makes it hard to give out a RMS plug-in for free. In the end, as with most things, you do end up getting what you pay for.
Completely understand. Where might I find these Upgrades on the Microsoft website? We have our Annual Maintenance fee paid up for the year.
The files can be downloaded from the CustomerSource section of the Microsoft Dynamics website. You should have received login information for this site when you purchased the software. If you do not have this information, your RMS Partner should be able to provide it to you.
If you don't have access to CustomerSource I can also help you get access. But Ryan is correct your partner can also provide you access.
I forgot to mention that your system admin can also add you to CustomerSource.
I do have access to the CustomerSource I just am surprised there are not additional add ons out there that Microsoft as provided.
