Some trials created with all Dynamics 365 Enterprise Apps created broken/corrupted

Hi,

It seems that some of the trial environments created (at least within geo Europe) from https://trials.dynamics.com get corrupted right from the start if you set them up with all of the Dynamics 365 Enterprise Applications.

You will notice the problem once you try to publish any customizations. Power Apps Maker will fail with the following error message:

Failed to process metadata description - Name: EntityKey, ID: d2ca1b83-be8e-42c9-ac22-17aca22fa8c4

You will get the same error message using the Classic colution explorer. From there you can access a more detailed error message:

Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: Failed to process metadata description - Name: EntityKey, ID: d2ca1b83-be8e-42c9-ac22-17aca22fa8c4 --->
Microsoft.Crm.CrmException: Failed to process metadata description - Name: EntityKey, ID: d2ca1b83-be8e-42c9-ac22-17aca22fa8c4 --->
System.ArgumentException: An item with the same key has already been added.

Checking the EntityKey table with XrmToolBox shows that it has an apparent duplicate:

2043.error.png

As said, this does not seem to be happening with all the trials. From last week's training/testing session it seemed that about 30 % of trials created had this.

One workaround is to delete the environment and create one without any of the Dynamics 365 apps. However, then it is not a Dynamics 365 Trial anymore...

Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

    Hi Tommi,

Have you tried solutions in these links?

    Hi Hao,

Thanks for your reply, but negative, no help from those links.

When we were checking the problem last week we were able to trigger the error message just by clicking the Publish all customizations button – even without doing any customizations. Everyone with the problem was getting the error message with same GUID.

To me this suggests that the problem is within the default data structures. Also, the image I posted clearly shows the duplicate row in the EntityKey table.

The two solutions referred in the picture turned out to be:

    OmnichannelSocialChannels
    msdyn_OmnichannelSocialChannelsPatch

Looks like something related to Omnichannel for Customer Service has corrupt data. Proceeding to remove it with the help from Docs: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-service/remove-omnichannel
