Internal Packing Slip - Accounts Payable

HI,

I am working on the migration of AX2009 to AX2012

In the Accounts payable , there is a field called " internalpackingslip id " in AX2009.

I could not find this field in the front end screen

due to this i could not map this field in AX2012.

Could you please help me on this

Hi Sriram,

I don't rmember field named as Internal packing slip Id in AX 2009. Could you please do a right click and go to the setup and check the name of the field.

If it's a customized field, you have to create the same in AX 2012 and complete the mapping for the upgrade.

Hi,

This is a available in the base demo version. We can find this in the Accounts payable - Setup - Number Sequence. Don't know where we can find this in the front end. In backend this is visible

What's your version of AX 2009? Also, what version of AX 2012 are you upgrading to?

Hi Gunjan,

Ax2012 is R3 - the kernel no. for AX2009 is 6.3.6000.214 / Appl no. 6.3.5000.138

Not sure about the version of 2009.. the kernel no. for AX2009 is 5.0.1500.6491 / Appl no. 5.0.1500.4570

Hi Sriram,

Looks like the field Dr. Ludwig suggested is the right field.

The field is not present in the front end (by default). You can personalize and get it in "Product receipt history" form. The field is Tables\VendPackingSlipVersion\InternalPackingSlipId.

Hi Sriram GS,

MS made some minor naming conventions (product receipt vs. packing slip).

Here is a screenprint from AX2012 that shows the number sequences.

Please note that you can link the internal product receipt with the product receipt number.

If I remember things correctly then the same was available in AX2009.

Would be great if you could double check and compare because I don't have such an old demo machine available at hand.

Also, do some test postings to see and compare the results in AX2009 and AX2012.
