Switching to Analytical Accounting

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

hello

I would like to implement analytical accounting in a database that is currently not using it.  Is it possible to add this feature at any time?  Or is it advisable to start "fresh" with a new database since you cannot add transaction dimensions to historical information?

I am planning to update the Chart of Accounts using professional Tools, then add the AA once the chart is updated.

thanks in advance

Yes - you can add AA at any time, and yes you can implement AA for one company and not another (on the same server).

    Best regrds,

    Ian.

One additional item - if AA is installed, is it OK to have one Database using AA and one that is not on the same server?  thanks
