Hi, I am new to GP, and my company is running an older version, version 10. We have a new customer service manager and she asked the following question:

"If I refine my search in Smartlist to ‘SOP type’ and then greater than January, 1, 2014, I get the following list of 312 open orders so far in January.

Is there a way I can get to the ‘comments’ on each of these orders without going through them one-by-one?

I saw, somewhere, ‘all history comments’??? but I didn’t have permissions to get into it to see if it’s what I am looking for."

Can anyone guide me on what permission she would need to be able to see all comments at a glance?

RE: Help with How To for GP 10

You can add the Comment lines to the SOP Transactions SmartList. You can add the first four lines anyway. Go into Smartlist, select the Sales Transactions folder. Add a column. Select the columns:

Comment 1

Comment 2

Comment 3

Comment 4

The above are the comment lines that appear on the bottom of the SOP document.

If you are looking for the line item comments, then select the Sales Line Items smartlist and add the same columns to that one.

You would need permission to these particular SmartLists. If you don't have permission, ask your administrator to grant permission to those to SmartList objects:
