Notes field in Entitlements do not allow additions after creation

Posted on by

Hi all,

I'm under suspicion that the latest update (December 2016) has broken the Notes in Entitlements.

  • Cannot add 2nd note to existing Entitlement (draft).
  • Cannot add note to existing Entitlement if not filled while creating the record (draft).

Has anyone reproduced this? Thanks!

Make sure you have Append To privilege set.  For me, when I went to check this security permission, I could not find my custom entity.  So, I have to put in a ticket to Microsoft because if you have checked to have activity entity which is where notes are generated, then it should show under the custom entities in Security-Custom Entities and the entity I am having an issue with is not listed to even add the Append To privilege.

    Feeling the pain.

Hi Milton, sadly and regarding the entitlements entity form , no.

I will have to call Microsoft support since, to be hones,t I'm disappointed with the community forum.

Hello, did you fix your issue with this.  I am having the same issue.  On some entities I can add as many notes as I want.  On others, I do have to save the master first but then I cannot add additional notes once I leave the record and go back in.

I have posted another issue that might be linked to the same problem. Hope it gives some insight.

Tried both and still behaves the same. Is there a better way to track what's going on behing the scene?

Would  Chrome "Developer Tools" give any insights?

    Hi Nick,

I am not sure what browser version you are using. Try the same in  IE10 and Chrome.
