Shared resource management

Posted on by 5

Hello,

It is very usual in the industry that an operator runs 3 machines or more at the same time.

I was told that if you enter the machine as primary resource and the operator as the secondary resource in D365FO and assign 3 one hour work order to the operator the planning functionality of D365FO will not be able to parallelize them due to the operator constraint...

Would anyone know if there is a way to overcome that issue?

Thanks for your help,

LearningTof.

    RE: Shared resource management

    Hi

In real live is not possible to someone work in 3 machines at the same time. What they can do is start, stop, supervise 3 machine at the same time, so I think what you want is to record the operator time against 3 machine right?

For planning purpose if you add the operator as a secondary operation they cannot run in parallel because is not possible
