Unable to generate Report Sales Tax for Settlement Period

Hello,

I am trying to run “Report Sales Tax for Settlement Period Declaration” for Q1. After selecting the settlement period (Q1) and selecting from date as 1/1/2025, selected tax payment version - original, but system is not generating any report. No action is being performed.

could anyone help me with this issue pls?

Navigation: Tax->Declarations->Sales Tax->Report Sales Tax for Settlement Period.

Even if I would expect a notification message for missing Period intervals, it is good to check if this is the problem. Can you go to Tax -> Indirect taxes -> Sales tax -> Sales tax settlement periods, select the Settlement period where you want to create the report for and check if for Q1 the Period interval is created?

These Period intervals are needed to be able to create the reports or do the declaration.

Ok, clear. I have two more suggestions in mind to check what the next step can be:

1. What if another user tries to create the report. Does it work then or the same outcome?

2. What if you try to run the report for an older declaration period?

If both doesn't work, I think a support ticket can help.

1. I believe that’s the case, when I tried to replicate this issue in lower environment I am facing same issue (Non response).

2. I tried running the report for previous quarter and system gave me a notification (Snippet attached).

My findings - I was going through the setup and found a setup in General Ledger Parameters-> Sales Tax->Tax Options-> Electronic Reporting-> VAT statement format mapping.

after mapping a template here I was able to generate the report. But I am not sure if this is the root cause.

That General Ledger Parameter has a help text related to the UK VAT Statement.

For UK recently the feature '(Production Ready Preview) Security enhancements in UK MTD VAT integration (cloud-based deployments only)' is added in D365FO (10.0.43). This is related to the UK VAT Statement and requires Electronic Reporting format which you have entered via the General ledger parameters. I am not sure (not UK located so don't know all the ins and outs), but maybe you can check whether this is related.
