Not 100% on this... In AX 2012 I believe there is an update function on the receipt order where you can change the posted quantity. The feature is available on packing slip, so I assume it is on the inbound as well.

Check the product receipt and check if there is a correct function on the action pane.

If you just want to update the quantity ordered you would need to confirm the order again.

    Hi Chandru,

Which quantity do you want to edit?

If you want to update the quantity of the product receipt, you can go to the product receipt journal and use the button 'Correct' to update your quantity.

If you want to update the quantity of the original purchase order line, you can directly go to the purchase order and change the order quantity. In this case the remain quantity will be updated as well.

If you just want to update the remain quantity and keep the original order quantiy, follow Nitesh Ranjan's suggest.
